Swelling Band of Local Acupuncturists

Tom Lawrence and his wife Fiona moved to Highland Perthshire last summer to be closer to her parents. Tom is an acupuncturist and oriental herbalist, and joins two other acupuncturists who have practiced in the locality for a number of years - Maggie Moore and Lou Radford.
Tom told Comment: “Initially, I commuted back down each week to my busy practice in London, as I had a few patients in critical stages of care – mainly infertility issues. With them all having successful pregnancies by Christmas, I then felt able to leave the south well behind and keep my heart and body in one place – here!”

Tom has enjoyed an open-hearted welcome from both Lou and Maggie. “I’m really pleased to have another Acupuncturist in the area,” explained Lou. “There’s lots of work to be done supporting local community health, and we’ll all benefit from each other’s presence.
“I’ve known Tom a couple of years and he’ll be a great asset locally,” she added. “The fact that the area can support a number of acupuncturists, all working full-time, just proves one thing to me – acupuncture works, and is growing in popularity across the board.”
Tom recently bought the former‘Hairport’ premises in West Moulin Road, Pitlochry and, after some work refurbishing the site, he will open the Pitlochry Acupuncture Centre - hopefully, he says, in early July.
In the meantime he is doing home visits and can be contacted on 07887 682291, or tom@gracefulmedicine.com and - when the Pitlochry Acupuncture Centre - opens on 01796 474100.
